Memories of you linger, a love that couldn't last.

I wish I could forget, the pain and the tears,

But the thought of you leaves me filled with fears. 

I hold onto the hope, that you'll come back to me,

But deep down I know, it's just a fantasy. 

So I'll stay here in this place, frozen in time,

Forgetting you, my love, seems like such a crime.

But I know in my heart, it's the right thing to do.
